Raleigh/Cary North Carolina & Northern Michigan Photographer

My name is Jenna and I live in Cary, NC. I love ice hockey, photography, the Pictured Rocks, traveling, hiking and northern Michigan summer nights. I grew up in Northern Michigan, lived in Minnesota where I studied biology and played college ice hockey. After graduation I went back to college to obtain a degree in cardiac sonography which brought me down to North Carolina. As a cardiac sonographer I spend my days photographing hearts!

I have always had a love for photography. It wasn't until I got the news that I was going to be an aunt, that I was triggered to ask for my first DLSR camera for Christmas. Since then I haven't been able to put the camera down. My niece is my inspiration to take photography to the next level. I feel as though I have finally found my passion in life.

Five years ago if you would have asked me where I saw myself later in life I would have never said living in North Carolina! I have been truly blessed with meeting some amazing people down here in the south. In my spare time you will always see me volunteering and traveling. I am currently involved with three different non-profit organizations down in Raleigh, NC. I am a mentor and coach for the Carolina Hurricanes Sled Hockey team as well as for Triangle Special Hockey. I also am on the board for Models for Charity….(yes, sometimes I get to put on really awesome outfits and get my hair and make up done and walk down a runway! --> I prefer to be behind the camera any day rather than be in front of it!!!) :-)

Any opportunity I get to travel I take it. My goal in life is to see the world. I plan to achieve it one day! Last year I went to Guatemala to photograph the wildlife and the Mayan Ruins. This year I traveled to Ireland, England and Italy!

I hope you have learned a little about me...I'd love to hear about you and how I can capture your special moments in life. If you have any questions please ask! I can't wait to meet you!
